My lawn has always struggled to stay green despite the use of my sprinkler system. I’m thinking that I may need to use some kind of fertilizer to help my lawn out a bit. I appreciate you debunking some of the lawn care myths. It’s good to know that corn gluten is a good weed and feed, and that fungi and clover are actually helpful to the lawn. Thanks!

I was going to disagree with the sand in clay…but I think this is right. However, my last garden I inherited from a man who spent years pouring sand into it, and I will tell you, that was the best garden I’ve ever had! But thinking back, it was still extremely claylike, and hard when dry.

Woah – so many things I didn’t know. Might have to try the milk on a small patch in our yard. Our condo people don’t seem to care that it doesn’t match all of the new sod they recently put down.
