Lily loves to measure and pour so when I saw this science project that was simple and easy – I knew we had to do it!

Making the Magic Touch bag was a cinch. Here are the directions as per Jocelyn’s blog:

 

Fill one large ziploc bag with the following ingredients:

cornstarch – 5 tbsp
vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
water – 1/2 cup
green and blue food coloring – 3 drops each (or more)

Seal the bag and allow your child to knead the ingredients together. Make sure you seal it really tight! Both of my kids loved watching the oil and water separate and seeing the different colors that formed. My two year old especially loved how it felt.
