This last niche of bloggers are some of my favorite to follow on instagram. From the runways of New York Fashion Week to the styles in your hometown, fashion bloggers are the ones to follow for the latest in beauty and style. Today I am sharing with you a few that I follow and a sneak peek into their days as bloggers.

1. I was lucky enough to have this first blogger move right up the street from me in my old neighborhood. We’ve both since moved, but I can tell you that. Abby of Twist Me Pretty is just as fun and fabulous in real life as she is online. As a Project Runway fan, I loved following her time with Tresemme at New York Fashion Week last year. Check these posts to get your own sneak peek behind the scenes at Bryant Park. Besides being a beauty blogger, Abby is also a mother of two – soon to be four with twin baby boys on the way. If you are looking for hair inspiration, this is one fab mama you want to be following on instagram and youtube.

2. Speaking of fabulous hairstyle bloggers, if you aren’t following Mindy of Cute Girls Hairstyles and her twin daughters, Brooklyn and Bailey, you are missing out! I am on their youtube channel and web site several times a week looking for new hairstyles for my daughter Lily. Find out what time Mindy wakes up at to get it all done and take look at a day in her life in this video. If you are looking for a safe and entertaining youtube channel for your teens and tweens to follow, follow this link to Brooklyn and Bailey. 3. I recently discovered Jackie of Something About That and I love this sneak peek into her life! I am crushing on several of the shoes in her spring Shoe Love post and I am slightly jealous of her hand-lettering skills in this post. 4. Last but not least, Michelle from AllLaqueredUp.com is the go-to girl in the industry for everything nail related. She has been named one of the Best of the Web by Instyle and voted Favorite Nail Blog by Marie Claire. Take a peek at her Beauty Diary and see what products she uses and loves in a typical day. This behind the scenes look at her experience creating FingerPaints with Sally Beauty is a great read as well.

A few weeks ago, I shared a little bit of my heart for the I am Brave and Beautiful Movement. Taking my makeup off and joining in with 100s of women to share our definition of beauty felt amazing. Have you read the stories of these amazing women? I am a Dancing With the Stars fan so I was thrilled when Bethany Mota and Derek Hough danced to Colbie Caillat’s Try on a recent episode. Colbie sang and played live – it was amazing! Beautiful and powerful – happily admitting that I cried. The visual of pushing away all of the labels and expressing love for ourselves touched my heart. You’ve got to watch it!

I am so happy that Bethany addressed bullying. It’s an issue that truly breaks my heart. At the beginning of the school year, I found out that my second grader was being pushed by older boys at school. I should have guessed something was wrong when my normally can’t-wait-to-get-to-school little girl was begging to stay home. We had a long talk about bullies and we talked with her teacher. There haven’t been any problems since then and my mother heart is praying that we don’t see any more for a long, long time.

That is why the #IamBraveandBeautiful movement is so important and so close to my heart.  I want my daughter to always feel brave and beautiful. I want her to be the kind of person who lifts and inspire others rather than tearing them down. I am trying to be that kind of person myself.

Joining in on this project has been a great way to see the good in many of the bloggers I work with. They are not just pretty faces. They are women with hopes and dreams, families and friends. Just like all of us! I am so grateful to them and each of you for sharing the good in the world!

I am Brave and Beautiful – a beauty movement that is sweeping the globe. Colbie Caillat started it with her recent song and video called TRY. My blogging friend Megan of Brassy Apple wanted to push this movement along and invited women from all over to share what they looked like without make up and I joined in!! Colbie’s song says, “Take your make up off. Let your hair down… Look into the mirror at yourself, Do you like you? Cause I like you… “

Megan and her friend Cobi of Peacefrom6pieces have been the team behind this whole project. Their worldwide vision included creating their own video inspired by the song TRY. The talent of Robbins Creative made it possible for them to pull it off. You have to click play and see the beauty and bravery displayed and you might even recognize a few faces in there. I have worked with and met many of these lovely ladies and can easily say that they are beautiful inside-out!

Me along with 101+ other blogging women from different backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, ages, shapes and sizes have decided to be Brave and Beautiful! You can join in this movement too by sharing what you look like without makeup on. You don’t need a blog either! Just tag your photo with #IamBraveAndBeautiful on Instgram and search the hashtag to see who else has joined in. ALSO, if you tag it with a second hashtag – #ColbieTRY we just might be able to get Colbie Caillat’s attention since she was the inspiration behind it all!

 I participated in this project for myself and for my daughter. She reminds me at least once a week, “It’s okay not to be perfect, mom.” My little seven year old is wise beyond her years. She loves getting all dolled up and sparkly, but she’s just as happy as her natural, beautiful self. That’s how it should be and hope that stays with her.

What makes me beautiful is seeing myself through the eyes of my loved ones. My children love me – even the squishy parts of me that I am still working off from each of my pregnancies. They love the mom that laughs with them, that plays with them, that listens to their silly stories. During this phase of my life, my little ones want to be with me as many seconds of the day that they can.

They sneak into my bed at night and climb onto my lap when I am working on blog posts. They still get excited when I volunteer in their classrooms. I pray wholeheartedly that I am loving them as deeply and fully as they are loving me!

I want to set an example for my children of what it means to feel brave and beautiful. I want them to see that my true self-worth does not come from my clothes, my hair, my make up, my accomplishments, etc. When they look in the mirror, I want them to like themselves. So it is crucial that I set the example.

Some days that is hard when I don’t like what the scale says or when I realize that I will probably be paying off my kids’ braces before I get my own. ‘Cause let’s be honest – we all have those days. And those are the days that this message is vital.

I like Myself.

I am Enough.

I am Brave and Beautiful.
