I asked her why she didn’t like them. She told me that they wanted to jump up in her mouth and that they wanted to squish her. Where she learned this I do not know. Later, when it was time to go inside, Mini Diva was paralyzed with fear because of the worm on the doorstep. She would not pass it. Now the flying bees and the running spiders – those are perfectly harmless, but apparently appendageless worms, or snorms as she calls them, are armed and dangerous.
Nevertheless, we spent a beautiful post-rain few hours outside. I was able to toss more rose bush branches in the garbage as well as take down the cloth awning from the gazebo that had ripped. I also spent time in the vegetable garden area and found some carrots and green onions that had survived the winter. By the end of the week I should have cilantro, lettuce, broccoli, rosemary, and squash planted. Can’t wait!
