June is here, well almost! That means summer. Swimming. Playgrounds. Popsicles. Boating. Fun!
Has this year flown by for anyone else? I feel like one of my kiddos is pressing down on the fast forward button of my life remote control from Bed Bath and Beyond and Beyond and Beyond like in that movie. Seriously, when did my little guy decided he could move from sweet babiness to toddlerhood? This week he began crawling EVERYWHERE. He looks adorable. And now he is pulling himself up to standing. Soon it will be walking. Sigh. I have two toddlers now.
So I am getting a head start on this week’s goal. And it is a good one!
This week is all about my husband. The man who brings home the bacon. Takes too many night shifts with my little insomniacs. Handles the stressful car crises. Our all around super man. Too often I get caught up in my momminess and I probably don’t give him the love, credit, and admiration that he definitely deserves.
My goal this week is to put him back in place as King of his Castle. One of my friends made an important observation in a discussion last week. She said that too often we expect our husband to be the leaders in the home, but then we don’t follow him. Can’t have a leader without any followers, right? This made me think of the times when I asked him what he preferred among two options, but really just wanted him to pick what I preferred. Know what I mean? Not good, my friends, not good.
So this week I am pulling out all the stops. And I promise that there will be some good posts. We’re talking ideas from Dating Divas, the Loving Wives Club, and oodles of good advice that I will be implementing. Afterall, I did teach a Marriage Prep Class at BYU. High time I walk the walk that I once talked about, eh?
What do you do to make your husbands feel loved and appreciated? Join me on Monday for lots of fun!
