This is the face of pure contentment. One little boy + one juicy plum = messy, gushy happiness.

My goal this week is to create a more joyful environment in my home. We all know how the old saying goes, “if momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!” As I’ve said before, I am too easily stressed about stupid, silly things. Those plums in the picture above … oh yes … quite easily could be stress triggers. Gushy purple plums on my carpeted kitchen could be a disaster. But it was nothing a towel underneath the Bumbo couldn’t handle. And my little guy was in pure bliss!

So here is what I am working on this week to add more joy and peace to our home:
1. Family Scripture Study and Prayer EVERY DAY.
2. Less television time
3. An artistic, physical, and outdoor activity for my little ones every day

I’ll let you know how it goes!

Until then … enjoy these pictures of more pure joy … we went boating with family on Saturday. Lily loved it. She’s my girl. She shouted for more bumps, bigger waves, etc.

Cousins

Even I got in on the phone. I love boating!

I love this picture because Lily and her cousin would look over at each other after every bump and laugh. Joy is better shared, don’t you think?

And this little man celebrated his first boat ride with a deliciously long nap.

I love boating too. Looks like Utah lake. So fun!
