Remember way back in April and May? When we were just starting plant our gardens? It seems to take so long for the fruits and veggies to grow, but when they do – very worth it! You can see my cilantro in the above picture where my daughter is digging. It was my first plant to produce. Love having fresh cilantro!
Hello Early Bird tomato! The nursery said these tomatoes would start producing by the 4th of July. So far I’ve counted four actual little tomatoes and I’ve seen the beginnings of about 12 squash/zuchinni. I’m envisioning toasted tomato sandwiches … zuchinni casserole … all without leaving my home. Yum!
Poor little strawberry. The next day I came back and something had already taken little bites out of it! Luckily, Lily and I saved the next one and ate it immediately ourselves.
And then there’s the honeysuckle monster. My biggest producer in the yard. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve pruned it since Spring. It just keeps growing!!! Lucky for it, it smells DIVINE right now. Such a dizzying summer aroma that I can’t get enough of. You are safe for now honeysuckle monster, but just you wait!

Hey! Your garden looks great! Gardening is HARD!!!!! Are you in Utah? I'm impressed you even got strawberries to survive at all in Utah.
I planted some tomato plants way back in March here in the Houston area. They are now almost as tall as me. I planted them way too close together (they never grew that tall in Massachusetts, where I grew up!). But we have to pick them green or else the bugs and the BIRDS will eat them! How rude is that? Birds?!?? Seriously???
I think that it's really great for your kids to see where things come from. Plus, honeysuckle is just about the most fun plant ever when you're little and it's summer ๐
Thanks for commenting on my blog. It was really nice. The people who comment are either my relatives or people who get offended by something I said, so it was a nice feeling to have somebody comment who I don't know who agrees with me! I know it's a lot of work to be a stay home mom, but I think it's more than worth it to your kids. Keep it up!

My strawberries get eaten every year. Really ticks me off. I need to treat them with something so the buggers stay away..

I love to garden and my rasberries are really coming on!! It's so exciting to see the plants come out of the ground and know that soon you can enjoy the 'fruits'
