My brilliant sister, Cambria, over at Live to be Inspired is starting a fantastic link up inspired by President Monson’s talk from the Relief Society Session. You all remember the story about the dirty laundry and windows, right?
I want to give women something to talk about other than each other’s flaws or mistakes. other than who did or didn’t do what this week. or who did or didn’t have homemade cupcakes at their 1 year old’s birthday party. i mean, seriously? we are all smart & talented women, yet we all have been guilty of conversations like this at one point or another. conversations that have no point other than judging others in order to make ourselves look better. often times we spend way more time tearing each other down than we do building each other up.
So Cami is encouraging us to blog about anything positive or that we are grateful for. She has a great list of starter ideas over at her blog that you can check out. She is doing a link up party Monday at 8 am MST. Join in the epidemic of positivity!
So here I go ….
I love this song by Sarah McClachlan. I remember the first time I saw it during the Opening Ceremonies if the Sydney Olympics – it was amazing! I’ve listened to this song a lot these past few months as I’ve learned to appreciate more of the simple, ordinary days that I am given. When I hear this song I will always think of my Grandma Kimball. During our many conversations the past two years, she has taught me a lot about motherhood and life in general.
This song reminds me to be grateful and to be happy!
Enjoy!

This is pretty cool. I like the idea. I suffer a lot from misjudging others and then finding out later that there was a reason for their seemingly stupid behavior. Usually it's somehow related to blogging, too; I end up complaining on my blog more than writing good things. So I will try to participate in this, and get in the habit of writing happy things and maybe it will start to leak over into my thoughts as well!
