I am going to let you in on a little secret. I am a Utah native – born and raised – who has only been skiing once! Crazy, right? I still vividly remember that one time. Loved it, but I was terrified when I discovered they didn’t stop the ski lift at the top for you to get off. My little fourth grade self was not that adventurous and may have sat on her skis the whole way down. Even though I was scared, I remember loving every minute of it!

Luckily, my five year old daughter has more adventure and daring in her little pinkie then I may have in my entire body. She is giddy with excitement to attend the Wolf Mountain Resort Discover Snow Program.

I must say that the excitement is rubbing off and I can’t wait to strap on a pair of skis, too! The Wolf Mountain Resort has ski lessons for moms like me, too. After our family ski lesson we are touring the newly remodeled lodge and checking out the Wolf Nordic Cafe. This will be the perfect mommy/daughter date for my adventure-loving and athletic Lily. We are always looking for fun family activities and that includes finding the best family ski resorts in our area.

To get ready for our big day, Lily and I have been watching ski videos and talking about skiing. This little girl knows way more than me and has been teaching me what I need to do with my skis to stop. I may have a little snow bunny on my hands

Lily was kind enough to share her artistic rendition of how she envisions our trip. I asked her about the circles underneath and she replied that they are the skis of the future. Good to know, good to know. I’m just hoping my legs look that skinny on the slopes! Check back in later this week to see how it went and check out a fun giveaway from Wolf Mountain Resort.

Tara I have lived in Utah most my life and I have never ever been skiing. I am a bit afraid of cold, snow and the ski lift not stopping at the top. I know you are going to have so much fun! Your family is so cute!
