Five Reasons to have Corn Hole at Your Next Party!

We’ve been going to Cherry Hill for over 30 years for our annual family reunion. Every year, I try to think of new, fun ways to keep the kiddos entertained. This year we brought Corn Hole and customized BYU bean bags (which my husband absolutely loved). Imagine my surprise when it kept EVERYONE entertained. From the grandpas to the toddlers – everyone loved Corn Hole. The kids spent hours with it and we even had relatives from neighboring camp sites come over to play.

So here are five reasons why you have go to get one of these for your next party!

Corn Hole for Kids

1. It’s easy. The youngest kids are a-ok with just tossing the bean bags into the hole and the older kids and adults can play more competitively if they like. The concept is simple – you play until a player or team scores 21 points, with a bean bag landing on-board being worth 1 point and a bean bag entering the “cornhole” scoring 3 points. The boards are placed 27 feet apart. After those technicalities – it is all fun!

Corn Hole for Kids2. It’s for all ages. We had ALL AGES playing Corn Hole over the weekend. The toddlers thought it was a hit and the grandpas even played a round or two. There was even a tournament with the young adults.

Corn Hole - a fun, family game for all ages

3. It’s customizable. I selected the BYU bean bags for my husband – it was such a fun surprise! And it’s hard to surprise my husband! They have many more sports teams available as well as a variety of colors and patterns.  (Okay ladies, think Christmas presents for your husbands!) AllCornHole.com even has a line of wedding bean bags. How fun would that be for kids at a wedding?

4. It’s perfect in a variety of situations. Like I mentioned above, Corn Hole is an easy crowd-pleaser for a multitude of events. Need something to occupy children at wedding – get the chevron or burlap chic bags and dress up the board! Having a tail gating party or watching the big game with friends – get it themed to your favorite sports team! Need an easy activity for your children’s school carnival – AllCornHole.com has got you covered! It kept all of us entertained at our camping family reunion.

5. It’s reusable. You can use your corn hole for all of the above listed situations. The boards are sturdy and the bags have a one year warranty. Believe me – they are durable! The bags survived our group of toddlers and a dusty camp site.

Our weekend experience made us a fan of Corn Hole. I liked that it was a game that all ages could play. Too often activities are only for certain ages. This brought our family together and we definitely had a great time!

That looks like a really simple, old fashioned good bit of fun! We’re really competitive when we get together as a family so I bet this would keep us entertained for hours ha 🙂 I can see it working after a few drinks at a wedding reception too! But equally for kids. Looks fun 🙂

I totally remember this game as a kid! I don’t remember if I was good at this one, or totally sucked – but it was definitely super fun. Even indoors…right? I think.

We have cornhole! Got my husband a custom set when we lived in KY. Sadly so many people here in Oregon don’t know about the game so we’re always the hit when we’re camping and everyone wants to come see what we’re playing.

I forgot about cornhole until moving back down south! It’s such a BIG THING.

KatyRose · October 8, 2014 at 7:38 am

This is one of my family’s favorite summer-time games. It’s so easy, lots of fun and the skill level doesn’t matter in order to have a good time. Plus a little friendly rivalry is always appreciated. – Katy

Esther Lombardi · October 8, 2014 at 8:49 am

I haven’t played that in more years than I like to think about… lol

My boys would LOVE this game though, and I love the reminders of why it’s such a great choice! Thanks!

I definitely love games that can include the kids, especially if they aren’t too complicated. Party games need to leave you free to party, too!

Katie · October 8, 2014 at 10:20 am

This is such a simple but fabulous concept! Love the personalised bean bags too!

I would get really competitive playing this!
