Seeing my little ones in big-bellied Halloween costumes makes my heart go pitter patt! Not only did all three of my kiddos find the exact Halloween costume they wanted this year, but we scored all three of them for under $30 – TOTAL!
Want to know my secret? Deseret Industries!ย Instead of buying a brand new costume, I checked out Deseret Industries selection of like-new items. This cute frog prince costume that turned out to be brand new – $12 buckaroos!
And the fun didn’t stop there! I found not one, but two witch costumes for Lily. Lily settled on the “Good Witch” costume, but she has a “Scary Witch” costume as back up. Total for both – $15! That’s what I loved about shopping trips to Deseret Industries. There were complete costumes ready to go, but also fun options if you want to DIY your costume!
My five year old was convinced that he wanted to be a pumpkin UNTIL he found this puppy costume. It was love at first sight. And for $8 – it was easy for mom to say YES! The best part – he found a pumpkin trick or treat bucket in the seasonal section for only .50 cents. He’s a happy camper right now.
Some day my little trio is going to be too big for puppy dogs and frog princes, but until then I am basking in their cuteness!
I love that both of my little boys costumes are perfect for Utah Halloweens. I hate having to cover up their cute costumes with coats. They’ll be warm and cozy in their full body suits this year.
When we are done with all these adorable costumes, it is nice to know that we can donate them back to Deseret Industries. Donations are tax deductible and help fund local training programs for employees in my community.
Living in Utah, I don’t have to go far to find a Deseret Industries.ย ย In fact, I am super excited for the new Springville store to be opening the weekend before Halloween!ย Besides the Springville store, there are also locations in Provo and American Fork. I scored these amazing costumes when I was up in Salt Lake County at the West Jordan location. The fun thing about Deseret Industries is that they get 1000s of items daily. So check in often to see what you can score!
What are your favorite Halloween costumes for kids?

These are all gorgeous costumes and I can’t believe how cheap you got them! I will have to see if we have somewhere similar to Deseret Industries here in the UK. I’m sure we must have!

These costumes are adorable! My mom discovered “blanket sleepers” to be a perfect foundation piece for any number of costumes, and I have the childhood pics to prove it! Thanks for sharing!

This post really is chock full of cuteness. ๐ I loved the stages where the kids could dress up like puppies too. ๐
